How we can help

Compliance Audits

Our compliance audits are used to evaluate the extent of your organisation’s compliance with regulatory or recognized standards, for example ISO9001 – Quality Management or ISO45001 – Occupational Health and Safety. You are issued with an audit report that details the failures in your implementation, recorded as non-conformances. Once you take the necessary actions to close the gaps, Obsequium will provide you with a certificate of compliance to evidence your compliant status based on our independent audit. However, please note that this is not the same as achieving accredited certification from an accredited certification body.

Management System Audits

Our Internal ISO Management System Audits are used by clients to ensure they comply with their adopted management system standards (for example ISO14001, or ISO 45001). A key requirement of many ISO’s is the need to conduct regular and systematic internal audits of your management system, to ensure that it complies and remains effective in meeting your organisation’s needs. Many of our clients choose to outsource this requirement to our audit team as a quicker, more efficient practice, that provides independent insight into their current status and ensures they can maintain their ISO Certification.

Gap Analysis Audits

Our ISO Gap Audits identify any short comings between your existing management system and the requirements of one or more ISO Management System Standards. Our auditors will outline the gaps the need work to become compliant, and can also provide suggested actions that can be taken to close those gaps. Our Gap Audit is a popular starting point for organisations that already have an existing management system and want to work towards achieving ISO Certification. It is a relatively quick and inexpensive process that provides you with practical insight into how far you have to go to gain ISO Certification.

Pre-Certification Audits

Our ISO Pre-Certification Audits are carried out before your upcoming audit by an independent certification body. They are used to minimize the potential for non-conformances being identified during your certification and surveillance audits. Rather than taking a “wait and see” approach, these audits provide a proactive way of having our expert auditors identify any pre-audit issues, and guide you to correcting them before they have the potential to put your certification at risk.

Legal Compliance Audits

Organisations face significant risk of exposure to liability because of failing to comply with applicable laws and regulations. And for those companies that have achieved ISO Certification of their management systems, evaluation of legal compliance can be a requirement of maintaining certification. Our Legal Compliance Audits help you to evaluate your level of compliance with legislation and other compliance obligations. In conjunction with Obsequium’s lawyers, our auditors undertake an evaluation of your systems and process to determine how you comply with relevant legislation. By engaging our expert team, we save you from second-guessing whether your business is actually compliant and protected.

Contractor and Supplier Audits

Also known as second party audits, these audits are performed by an organisation upon its own contractors and suppliers that make up their supply chain. Contractor and Supplier Audits are especially useful in evaluating your supplier’s performance and compliance with contractual obligations, laws (such as WHS), and ISO Standards. They are particularly important for high-risk industries and can help identify issues and potential risks early so that you can take action. Audit findings can also provide you with assurance and confidence in your suppliers that can enhance your performance and customer satisfaction.

Ethical and Social Accountability Audits

Governments, consumers and other stakeholders are putting increased pressure on business to ensure work is compliant with the principles of ethically and socially responsible business. In Australia, Modern Slavery legislation is just one example. Our ethical and social accountability audit services help you to demonstrate ethical, fair, transparent and caring workplaces. Our work is based on the international standard SA8000, SMETA (Sedex) and the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Codes. We evaluate key areas such as hygiene, health and safety, waste management, child and young labor, working hours and wages and labor practices including forced labor.

Auditing Standards

Some of the audit standards we work with include:

  • ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems

  • ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems

  • Office for the Federal Safety Commissioner Accreditation (OFSC)

  • ISO 19600 Compliance Management Systems
